Se dice que los japoneses, deben soñar en los primeros días del año. El primer sueño que tengan tiene el nombre de Hatsuyume, y se dice que los buenos sueños son: Ichi-Fuji, Ni-taka, y San-nasubi ( El primero (ichi), el Monte Fuji, el segundo (ni) con un águila, y el tercero (san) con una berenjena). Se dice que si se tienen estos sueños son un buen augurio, y se tendrá un buen año.
